Who we are:

Welcome to the exciting world of Fayetteville Area Rugby, where every pass, tackle, and cheer brings our community closer! We’re not just a team; we’re a family, fostering a passion for rugby.

Founded in 2022, Fayetteville Area Rugby is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit focused on Rugby Union Football in the Greater Fayetteville Area. We celebrate the legacy of the Bragg Rugby Football Club, a community fixture since 1973. Our mission is to create a family-friendly space where service members, civilians, and rugby fans can unite, share their love for the game, and support each other on and off the field.

Our teams—the Dragons (Men's Club) and the Valkyries (Women's Club)—are a lively mix of cultures, skills, and backgrounds. Whether you're a military vet or new to rugby, you’re welcome in our quirky family! We promote a safe, inclusive environment for all, from young players to seasoned pros, encouraging skill development, spirited matches, and charity connections.

As we grow, we’re excited to welcome back familiar faces and expand with youth clubs and more teams. Join us in spreading the rugby spirit in Fayetteville, one epic tackle at a time!

Our association is part of a regional union (Carolinas Geographic Rugby Union), which is part of USA Rugby.  We play our official 15s rugby matrix matches throughout North and South Carolina.  Besides our official matches, we attend 15s tournaments in the Fall and Spring.  The main three are the Southern Classic at the Citadel in Charleston, SC; the St. Paddy’s Day Tournament in Savannah, GA; and the Nash Bash Tournament in Nashville, TN.  We also play in several 7s tournaments in the Summer.
